Launches Agent Portal
Rhode Island-based Providence Mutual Fire
Insurance Co. completed the first phase in a
new agent portal, according to iter8 Inc., Toronto, an insurance solutions software developer.
The first phase was designed to provide
home and auto programs across seven states;
new business quoting and submissions;
straight-through processing for new business
and referral processing for exceptions; and
integration to claims history and conviction
databases, property-value estimating, credit
services and geo-coding distance-to-coast
A rich rules engine that can be configured
by business users; an easy-to-use, intuitive
user interface; extensive functionality; and
the combination of an agent and underwriter desktop deliver a solution to Providence
Mutual, says iter8.
The next phase is scheduled to com-
mence immediately, and will see the integra-
tion of comparative raters, with additional
deliverables to include the integration to
Agency Management Systems through
bridge solutions from Transformation Station
and TransactNOW; new business quoting
and submissions for business owners policies;
the addition of home and auto policy inquiry;
and endorsement capabilities.
Lititz Mutual Group to Use
iPartners’ BI Solution
Pennsylvania-based Lititz Mutual Group will
use iPartners’ Insurance Scorecard business
intelligence solution, with production use to
commence in early-2011.
With the implementation of a new policy
administration system, Lititz Mutual recog-
nized the need to unify its legacy and new
system data to deliver a robust reporting and
analysis environment, and enable quick and
easy access for all levels of users, according to
iPartners. The Atlanta-based solutions pro-
vider says its insurance-specific application
and the company’s experience in both insur-
ance and business intelligence are why Lititz
Mutual’s chose Insurance Scoreboard.
United Home Insurance to
Use PCMS Software
United Home Insurance Co., an Indianapolis-based personal lines insurance carrier, will use
Atlas and Agen Tree product suites from
PCMS, Cincinnati. Atlas and Agen Tree were
designed to provide personnel, agents and
customers with a comprehensive real-time,
online policy/claims administration system.
United Home is expanding in the Mid-
west, seeking a policy/claim administration
platform that would provide agents and cus-
tomers with sophisticated, on-demand web-
sites, while keeping the company fiscally re-
sponsible, says PCMS.
Pacific Compensation Insurance Co., Thousand Oaks, Calif., has selected and implemented Bedford, Mass.-based FirstBest Systems’ UMS, an underwriting workstation that
is combined with a transactional, real-time
agent portal and an instant-upload solution.
The software is part of the FirstBest
Front Office Suite, designed to unite agents,
brokers and underwriters in a collaborative
underwriting process that helps them rapidly and efficiently submit, evaluate, quote
and close business.
